Welcome to
MYPath Trail System

The MYPath Trail System was created in 2016 with dreams to connect the Family YMCA to McCormick’s Creek State Park with a walking/biking trail. Since its inception, the path has become an important connection between neighborhoods and downtown commerce and activity.

Currently, the MYPath Trail System is a network of shared sidewalks through the town and a natural surface trail along the White River.

In 2023, thanks to a generous Next Level Trails grant from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), we will be upgrading the Riverfront Pathway to a paved, ADA accessible, path connecting the Soil and Water Conservation Office to the DNR Boat Launch on River Road.

Enjoy the natural wonders that make Owen County special. Trail visitors enjoy river vistas, prime birdwatching area, wetlands restoration, and a lowland reforestation project.  Thanks to the DNR grant, a bridge will cross Elliston Creek and allow visitors to cross into the MYPath Meadow and a new polinator garden.

From the DNR river access site, you can see McCormick’s Creek State Park. With your support, we will complete the last mile. Stay tuned.
