4-H Fishing Team
To commemorate our 25 years of service to the community, the Owen County Community Foundation announced that we will distribute $25,000 in awards to 25 local charities and non-profits in special one-time $1,000 grants. The nonprofits were chosen by volunteer members of the board of directors, volunteers on the Grants Committee, and staff members.
“We wanted to show our gratitude for the local charities and non-profits in Owen County,” said Mark Rogers, former OCCF president. “In our 25 year history, our non-profit partners have done wonderful work in partnership with the Foundation. We just wanted to find a way to say thanks and celebrate this great partnership.”
Gosport Waterfront Project
When selecting these special grant recipients, the OCCF volunteers and staff considered groups and organizations that they see making a positive difference in Owen County, groups that represent a well-run organization, or groups that have a good focus on their mission. Some of the recipients were New Beginnings Crisis Pregnancy Center also chosen because they are considered very popular in the view of the general public.
