VFW Post Remodel

After over 75 years continuously serving service members and their families, the Gosport VFW Post 7850 building was in need of a remodel. As the building hosts many community gatherings annually, renovations were crucial in order to enhance the safety and well-being of its occupants.

Through a 2023 Community Investment grant, the OCCF funded $5,000 to help pay for the costs of renovations. Over the spring and summer, Veterans and Auxiliary members helped replace carpet and light fixtures, update the restroom facilities, build a new user-friendly bar to accommodate more individuals, install air purifiers, and apply a fresh coat of paint throughout the building.

In the winter, the Post plans to complete renovations in the Family Room.
